Receive approval notifications at your confirmed WhatsApp number.
WhatsApp notifications send a request summary and review link to your confirmed WhatsApp number. WhatsApp is a separate channel from SMS, even when both use the same number. WhatsApp is a hosted edition channel: the open edition offers email, Slack and Discord.
Number confirmation
The number needs consent to receive messages and confirmation from WhatsApp. withHuman provides a QR code and an Open WhatsApp link with a prepared confirmation message. Sending that message from your account confirms the number; opening the link alone does not.
If the confirmation expires, a new link replaces it. Once confirmed, the number becomes available in your notification rules. Add it to the urgency rules that should use it; confirmation alone does not turn on approval messages.
Messages and availability
Approval messages show the tool, agent and expiry, with a link to the request. Request arguments stay in withHuman. Approval and denial happen in the Review queue, not in replies to the message.
WhatsApp delivery must be enabled on the deployment. Approval messages share the organization's phone-message allowance with SMS. When that allowance is unavailable or exhausted, the WhatsApp message is skipped and later notification rules continue.
Delivery and removal
If a message is missing, check that the number is confirmed, its rule matches the request's urgency and the organization can send phone notifications. Include another channel in your rules as a fallback.
