The deal, in plain words.
These are the terms for using withHuman. They are short because the arrangement is simple: your agents ask, your people decide, we keep the record. Questions go to [email protected].
The agreement
These terms are between you and Metoro Inc, which operates withHuman. They cover the hosted service at withhuman.ai, the withHuman iPhone app, and this website. By creating an account, accepting an invitation to an organization, or using the service, you agree to them on your own behalf and, if you act for an organization, on its behalf too.
If your organization has a signed enterprise agreement with us, that agreement wins wherever it differs from these terms.
The open-source edition of withHuman is licensed separately under the terms in its repository. These terms do not apply to software you run yourself.
What the service does
withHuman receives approval requests from AI agents your organization connects, routes them to the people your organization chooses, records their decisions, and returns those decisions to the agent. withHuman does not perform the underlying action. The agent does, and only after your reviewer has answered.
The service is in early access. Features change, and we may add, alter, or remove functionality. We give notice of changes that remove something you rely on.
Accounts and organizations
Every account belongs to a person and every person belongs to one or more organizations. An organization's owners and admins control who is a member, what each member can do, which agents are connected, and how requests are routed. You are responsible for the accuracy of that configuration and for keeping your credentials, agent credentials, and session tokens confidential.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You must give us accurate account details and keep them current.
Your data and your agents
Everything your agents send us and everything your reviewers decide belongs to your organization. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy, and we never use it to train models.
You decide what your agents include in a request. You are responsible for having the right to send it to us, including any personal data or customer data it contains, and for not sending anything unlawful.
A decision recorded in withHuman is your organization's decision. Reviewers act on your behalf, and we are not a party to the actions your agents take after an approval.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to approve, route, or carry out anything unlawful, or anything that harms other people or their property.
- Probe, scan, or test the service for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or interfere with other customers' use of it.
- Share, sell, or transfer credentials, or connect agents you do not control.
- Circumvent seat limits, rate limits, or plan entitlements.
- Resell the service or offer it to third parties as your own, except as an enterprise agreement allows.
We may suspend an organization or an account that breaches these rules, giving notice where it is reasonable to do so.
Text message and WhatsApp notifications
withHuman can notify you by text message or WhatsApp when an approval request is waiting on you. You opt in by adding your own mobile number in the product and ticking a consent box that is unchecked by default. We then send a one-time code to confirm the number, and after that only approval prompts, which name the tool and the agent, say when the request expires, and link to it. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
Message frequency varies with how often an approval needs you. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out; you will receive one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. You can also remove the number from your notification settings at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is described in our privacy policy, and the program is described at withhuman.ai/sms.
Fees
Hosted plans are billed at the prices shown when you subscribe, per seat, in advance, either through Stripe or through AWS Marketplace. If you subscribe through AWS Marketplace, AWS bills you under its own terms and these terms still govern your use of the service. Seats are consumed by active members and pending invitations. Fees are exclusive of taxes. Unpaid invoices may result in suspension after notice. Enterprise agreements set their own fees and payment terms.
Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uptime outside an enterprise agreement, which may include an availability commitment and a response-time commitment for blocking issues. Support for everyone is described on our support page.
Intellectual property
We own the service, the apps, and the withHuman name and marks. You have a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for as long as these terms apply. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you. The open protocol we publish is licensed on the terms in its repository.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from the content your agents send, the actions they take, or your breach of these terms.
Termination
You can close your account at any time, and an organization owner can delete the organization from Settings. We can end these terms on thirty days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach. On termination, your organization's data is purged after the grace period described in our privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should survive, including fees owed, intellectual property, liability, and governing law, survive.
Governing law
Enterprise agreements state their own governing law and forum. Otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Delaware. Consumers keep any protections their local law gives them.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date below and, for changes that matter, tell account holders by email at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. This version is effective 4 September 2026.
