# Phone app

Receive push notifications and review requests in the iPhone or Android app.

The withHuman phone app receives push notifications and lets you review requests on an iPhone or Android device. Each registered phone appears as its own channel in **Notifications**. Phone app notifications are part of the hosted edition: the open edition offers email, Slack and Discord.

## Registered phones

The [Mobile apps guide](/docs/web-app/mobile-apps) covers installation, sign-in and reviewing on your phone. The web app's **Add the phone app** panel offers App Store and Google Play links, plus a download QR code. Sign in to the same withHuman account and allow notifications on the device.

A phone appears as **Registered** once it is connected for push notifications. The deployment must support push delivery for that platform; if registration is unavailable, use another notification channel and ask the deployment administrator to check support.

## Rules and review

Registered phones join both default urgency rules immediately. If you have already customized your [notification rules](/docs/web-app/notifications#standard-requests-and-interrupts), include the phone in the rules that should use it. Multiple phones can receive notifications at the same delay.

The alert identifies the tool, agent and time remaining. Request arguments are not included in the push notification. Open the request in the app to read its details and decide. The same [review permissions and claims](/docs/web-app/review-queue) apply as on the web.

## Delivery and removal

If alerts are missing, check that the phone is registered, its rule is due and device notifications are allowed. Focus, Do Not Disturb and other device settings can silence alerts even when withHuman sends them. An Interrupts rule does not bypass those settings.

Signing out removes that phone's registration. A phone can also be removed from Channels, which removes rules selecting it. Other registered phones remain available. See [Changes and removal](/docs/web-app/notifications#changes-and-removal) for saved rules and pending requests.
